Fundraising

Fullers London Pride 10k has raised a tremendous amount of money for the cancer research taking place at Hammersmith Hospital, achieved thanks to our participants raising sponsorship money.
Please help us to contribute more funds at this years event by setting up your JustGiving page:

Our highest fundraisers will be invited to the 'Thank you' evening at the Fullers Brewery and awarded with a prize.

Tips

  • Approach everyone you know and ask them to sponsor you! If they are a UK tax payer, then make sure they tick the Gift Aid box and complete their full home address on the sponsor form. This means we can claim an extra 25% to each donation.-
  • Take your sponsorship form with you everywhere, to the pub, to the gym and to work.
  • Start your sponsorship form off with your most generous sponsors – if the first person has pledged £20 then this can really set the trend!
  • Set yourself a high target and tell people how much you are aiming to raise. A high target can really motivate the sponsor to help you on your way.
  • Collect the sponsorship straight away – people will sponsor you as a total pledge so ask them for the money there and then – they won’t be offended and it saves you the work of collecting it afterwards.

Company Support

  • Many companies match pound-for-pound donations made by their employees to registered charities. It would be easy to turn £200 that you have managed to raise in to £400 with just one simple question! This is tax efficient for them and a fantastic way of increasing your sponsorship.
  • If you are able to advertise the event on your Company's website, intranet or social bulletin board this is a very good way of promoting support for your fundraising or even encouraging others to join you!
  • Create Your JustGiving page.
  • Once you have set up a JustGiving page, make sure you email the link to everyone you know.
  • Add the link to your Facebook page and tweet about it!
  • You could even add the link to the signature of your emails – just make sure you double check with your employer that you’re allowed to do this with work emails.
